NO NEW CIVIL WAR IN THE USA. Oct 10/2020 Predictions of a new American civil war can be found in almost all Western media, as well as in the Russian and Chinese press. In the USA, even Thomas Friedman (*1953), the eminent columnist for the New York Times, has voiced his concern and despair about a possible civil conflict. In August, Friedman no longer excluded the possibility that America was headed toward the "end of our democracy" and a subsequent "civil war".
